Dr. Hadlock's Humanitarian Missions

The Crooked Smile Foundation

The Crooked Smile Foundation was established to address the needs of individuals worldwide living with facial paralysis, movement disorders, and other facial disfigurements. With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Hadlock and her team have dedicated themselves to traveling internationally to provide care for patients and collaborate with local surgeons and healthcare providers. Their efforts focus on sharing expertise and fostering sustainable facial reanimation programs across the globe. Through these partnerships, they have helped restore facial expressions for patients on multiple continents.

Global Facial Reconstruction Training

Over the years, she has worked to ensure that local in-country surgical residents and attending staff are thoroughly involved in teaching and learning facial reconstruction training efforts.

Dr. Hadlock has on multiple occasions participated in facial reconstruction surgical training modules in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and Mbarara, Uganda. Patients with idiopathic, surgical, and traumatic facial injuries underwent a variety of reconstructive procedures. Haitian surgical residents are thoroughly involved in learning surgical care. She has donated EnlightenMD software, an electronic data repository, to help local residents perform long-term record keeping.
